Tiered Supplier Framework

Whitestone is  committed to minimizing the environmental footprint of our procurement activities by working with suppliers who share our dedication to sustainability.

At Whitestone, we recognize that the sucess of our sustainability goals are deeply tied to the strength of our supplier partnerships. With over 5,000 suppliers, brands, and factories in our global sourcing network, we’ve developed a tiered supplier framework to strategically manage these relationships. This approach allows us to prioritize partners who share our commitment to quality, innovation, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.

By selecting our suppliers based on rigorous standards, we ensure that we consistently offer products from companies that are not only committed to excellence but also lead by example in the global economy. Below is an in-depth look at our framework and how it guides us in selecting and collaborating with these trusted partners.

What we’re hoping to achieve

Our goal is to strategically shift our purchasing toward Tier 1 Vendors. By doing so, we aim to increase our investment in suppliers who align with Whitestone’s sustainability objectives, enhancing our impact on environmental and social responsibility.

We will start measuring current orders with each supplier and setting targets for improvement to ensure that more of our spend is directed to Tier 1 suppliers over time, promoting a sustainable future across all business operations.

Our goal is to move more than 50% of our annual spend to Tier 1 suppliers—those with strong sustainability certifications—by 2030.
